We had a great Trunk Show at What The Rock last night! There were some great loyal Personal Baggage supporters as well as some newbies! A portion of our t-shirt sales at this event benefitted PetPromise!
We are so excited to be selling our shirts in Three Dog Bakery! This is our first time ever trying to sell our shirts in an actual store front. We have the cutest little display with some of our most loved designs. If you haven't been into Three Dog Bakery before try to image a posh pet boutique nestled in the Short North with anything from gourmet treats to toys and clothing for your fur kids! They are located at 611 N High St in Columbus Ohio, you can also check out their website at www.threedogcolumbus.com!
Our first fostering experience was a bit of a whirlwind. Let me start by saying that my husband and I both work full time, I do Personal Baggage on the side, and we share our home with 2 beagle mixes and 1 domestic rabbit. So we are busy 90% of the time. However, I have been volunteering with animal rescues in central Ohio for the past 5 years and I know how important fostering an animal is. It can literally mean life or death for the animals involved. So it had been on my bucket list if things I wanted to try. So after many discussions and excuses of why we couldn't foster, we finally bit the bullet and decided to take in 2 Daschaund/Beagle brothers. We named them Mo and Bubba and basically treated them the same as we did our dogs. We fed them, played with them, started the potty training process, took them to their neuter appointment... At times it was pure chaos taking care of 4 dogs at once! We didn't know how long they would stay with us until they found their own permanent homes, but we took it all day by day. They both ended up getting adopted by the same family, and I got to be very involved in the adoption process. I will say that as happy as I was to see them go to their new forever home, a small piece of my heart ached that they wouldn't be "mine" anymore. All and all the whole fostering process was bittersweet and I would definitely do it all over again!
Our first Trunk Show was a huge success! Kristen from the Candle Lab in Powell was so kind to host us. Personal Baggage supporters from all over showed up to shop our t-shirts! A portion of our sales at this event benefitted the Powell Animal Welfare Society (PAWS). Please check out their amazing adoptables - www.powellpaws.org.
